Matin Raza, Lalbarra – Acting on the orders of District Magistrate Mrinal Meena, a special campaign is being run across the district to control the menace of stray cattle on the roads, which have become a significant problem for farmers and vehicle drivers. This campaign is being conducted continuously in municipal corporations, municipal councils, and large gram panchayats to catch stray cattle that are found wandering without owners.

As part of this campaign, Sarpanch Anees Khan of Gram Panchayat Pandharwani, Lalbarra, has been making daily announcements via loudspeaker since Tuesday, urging cattle owners to tie up their livestock at home. Otherwise, these animals will be caught and sent to gaushalas. It is noteworthy that local farmers and road users are greatly troubled by the havoc caused by stray cattle. Herds of animals often enter fields, destroying crops—not only consuming them but trampling more under their hooves. Moreover, road users are frequently involved in accidents due to the unpredictable movements of these animals.

Sarpanch Anees Khan has emphasized that this drive will continue until the stray cattle problem is resolved. He warned cattle owners that any animal found roaming freely will be sent to a gaushala, and the responsibility will fall entirely on the owners.
