Ujjain: The Mamta Nisshakta Punervas Samiti in Ujjain planted 108 trees with Vedic chants. The organization, which has been a pioneer in the field of disabled upliftment and social welfare for the past ten years, operates various service projects through public cooperation. Participating in the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign, the organization planted trees at Alons Avenue in Surasa village panchayat for nature conservation.
The event was led by the organization’s officials, including President Hakam Singh, Secretary Dr. Jagdish Prasad Sharma, and members Dr. Imit Saluja, Dr. Manoj Mehta, senior social worker Anil Upadhyay, Rakesh Satnami, Arif Khan, Mahesh Bairagi, Mrs. Pammi Kushwaha, and Kum. Samiksha Sharma. Panchayat member Kamal Saini, leading social workers Mrs. Shraddha Sharma and Kiran Chokse, Ankita, Kapil Mehra, Rajesh Sen, Narayan Dhami, Vishal Agarwal, Shubham Sharma, and a large number of villagers and intellectuals from the colony were also present.
Together, they planted 108 saplings, including Banyan, Peepal, Neem, Shisham, Mango, Jamun, Guava, Jackfruit, Belpatra, Ashok, and Shami, while chanting Vedic hymns and praising nature. They pledged to take responsibility for the care of these trees and committed to planting and nurturing 1,000 saplings every year in the future.
