MP Transco (Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company) has taken another significant step towards maintaining its zero-accident and safety-first goals by developing a safety manual in Hindi. The manual was launched by MP Transco’s Managing Director, Engineer Sunil Tiwari, and the Chief Guest, former Chief Engineer Mr. K.K. Moorthy, during the Independence Day celebrations held in Jabalpur.
Developed in accordance with safety guidelines under the IE Rules – 1956, Indian Electricity Act – 2003, CEA Regulations – 2010, and Grid Code, this safety manual is designed with the safety of personnel working on MP Transco’s 41,000 circuit km transmission lines and 416 extra-high-tension substations in mind.
In his message during the launch, Managing Director Engineer Sunil Tiwari expressed hope that this safety manual will be highly beneficial in maintaining the company’s zero-accident goal. He praised the effort involved in creating this manual, which reflects MP Transco’s commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. He expressed confidence that every maintenance personnel will follow the manual’s guidelines with utmost dedication.
Under the guidance of Chief Engineer Mr. Praveen Garg, the team consisting of engineers Atul Nawar, Deepak Kumar, Chandrakant Srivastava, and Jitendra Tiwari prepared the safety manual. The manual has been made available in both digital and print versions.
