Minister Silawat Expresses Grief Over Drowning of Two Children in Shipra River

Government to Provide Financial Assistance of Rs 4 Lakhs Each to the Bereaved Families

Indore [SD News Agency]: Minister of Water Resources, Shri Tulsiram Silawat, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic drowning of two children in the Shipra River in Palasia village, under Shipra Police Station, Indore district. He assured the grieving families that he stands with them in this difficult time. Minister Silawat also announced that the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakhs each to the bereaved families.

According to the information received, Suraj, son of Nathulal, aged 16, and Mahesh, son of Dinesh, aged 17, both residents of Palasia village, went to bathe in the river. The incident came to light when their shoes and slippers were found on the riverbank. SDM Shri Ajit Srivastava informed that the bodies of both children have been recovered. As per Minister Silawat’s instructions, an immediate financial assistance of Rs 5,000 each has been provided to the affected families.
