Directs preparation of a master plan for the upgrade of old buildings of all government schools in Narela Assembly

Cooperation, Sports, and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang conducted a surprise inspection of the Government New Higher Secondary School Semra in the Narela Assembly on Monday. During the inspection, he expressed his displeasure with the PIU Executive Engineer for irregularities found in the construction work in the school premises. Minister Sarang visited the government school premises in Semra after receiving complaints of waterlogging due to heavy rainfall in Bhopal. He also directed the preparation of a master plan for upgrading the old buildings of all government schools in the Narela Assembly. On this occasion, he interacted with students in the classroom to gather information about the available facilities and also reviewed the curriculum being taught by the teachers.
Displeasure expressed over irregularities in PIU construction work
Minister Sarang conducted a surprise inspection of the entire building in the Semra Government School premises following the situation of waterlogging caused by recent heavy rains. During the inspection, it was found that the PIU Division No. 1 was carrying out construction work in the school premises, and irregularities in the construction were causing the waterlogging situation. Minister Sarang immediately called Executive Engineer Deepak Asati and expressed his displeasure, instructing him to complete the construction work within a stipulated time frame and to prepare a master plan for upgrading the old buildings of all government schools in the Narela Assembly.
All government schools in the Narela Assembly to be upgraded
Minister Sarang stated that the goal is to upgrade all government schools in the Narela Assembly within a year. For this, a master plan will be prepared in coordination with the School Education Department, PIU, and Municipal Corporation. He emphasized that the infrastructure will be expanded to ensure high-quality buildings for government schools, thereby enhancing the facilities available to students studying in these schools.
Classroom and lab review, interaction with students
During the inspection, Minister Sarang reviewed the school building, classrooms, labs, and other available facilities. He interacted with students to gather information about the available facilities, to which the students expressed satisfaction. Minister Sarang also visited the classrooms and obtained information about the curriculum being taught by the teachers.
