The Gauraksha Mahaabhiyan 2.0 is set to begin on September 22, 2024. In a press release, Gauraksha activist Mr. Vinayak Ashok Luniya informed the media that last year, on June 12, he experienced severe health issues simultaneously, including a brain stroke, cardiac stroke, and paralysis, which necessitated the suspension of the campaign mid-way.
Mr. Luniya noted that following the previous campaign, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, as well as several state legislative assemblies, underwent elections, resulting in changes among many esteemed legislators and Members of Parliament. As a result, this time, all contacts will be renewed from scratch. He also mentioned that the service of Gau Mata and the blessings of his revered parents have enabled him to return to this mission after a swift recovery.
Mr. Luniya emphasized that the fight for cow protection is not a recent issue but one that his father had been engaged in since 1972. Unfortunately, his father passed away on March 16, 2017, due to a heart attack. Following this, Mr. Luniya took over the leadership of the campaign and will continue to advance the mission with renewed vigor.
He revealed that this time, 10 teams consisting of 11 members each will be formed. These teams will contact esteemed legislators and MPs across the country to secure their support letters and further strengthen the campaign. The formation of these teams will begin on September 22, and throughout October, they will meet with prominent legislators, members of the legislative councils, and local body officials such as mayors and chairpersons to obtain their support letters.
Mr. Luniya further explained that the team selection process for the campaign has already started. The campaign will officially commence nationwide on September 22, 2024, marking a highly significant day. He also mentioned that at the end of the campaign, a delegation will meet with the Honorable President of India to present all the support letters.
According to Mr. Luniya, he will soon announce his team to the media, which will enhance the campaign’s effectiveness. He expressed hope that this campaign will be highly impactful and successfully operate in a positive manner to achieve justice for Gau Mata.
