Administrative Approval for Irrigation Project Worth Over 1,320 Crores

Decisions of the Cabinet Meeting under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

A meeting of the Cabinet was held at the Ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Cabinet granted administrative approval for the Chitrangi Dabiyukt Micro Irrigation Project in Singrauli district with a budget of 1,320.14 crores (irrigation area: 32,125 hectares). The approved project will benefit 132 villages in Chitrangi Tehsil (irrigation area: 28,192 hectares) and 10 villages in Devsar Tehsil (irrigation area: 3,933 hectares) in Singrauli district.

Approval for 30 Posts to Expand Cyber Tehsil

The Cabinet approved the provision of adequate staff for the Cyber Tehsil Project. Out of the 619 sanctioned posts for Tehsildar cadre across the state, 10 posts for Tehsildar, 15 posts for reserved Naib Tehsildars, and 3 Assistant Class-3 employees will be transferred to the Cyber Tehsil at the main Revenue Commissioner office. Additionally, the appointment of 2 peons through outsourcing was also approved.

Approval for 364 Posts under Mission Shakti

The Cabinet approved the operation of Women Empowerment Centers in all districts of the state until the end of the 15th Finance Commission period (2025-26) as per the revised guidelines issued by the Government of India under Mission Shakti. The aim is to facilitate inter-sectoral convergence of programs and create an environment where women can understand and utilize their full potential.

For each district hub, the approval includes 1 District Mission Coordinator, 2 Gender Specialists, 1 Financial Literacy Expert, 1 Accounts Assistant, 1 IT Assistant, and 1 MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) position, totaling 364 posts across all district hubs. The Women and Child Development Department has been authorized to fill these posts as per the prescribed procedures.

Approval of Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2024

The Cabinet approved the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Ordinance 2024 for amending Section 43-C of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1961, changing the term “two years” to “three years.”

Approval of Compensation Amount Exceeding ₹87 Lakhs

For the development and expansion of the Rewa airstrip into an airport, the Cabinet had previously decided on 26.09.23 and 13.12.22 to allocate necessary land and compensation as requested by the Airports Authority of India. The land acquired for the airport included land from the villages of Kerar and Paipkhara in Satna district, Ram Pur Baghelan Tehsil. The Collector of Satna requested a compensation amount of ₹87.50 lakhs including 1% service tax, which has been allocated and approved in today’s Cabinet meeting.

Approval for Amendments to Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules 2017

The Cabinet approved the replacement of Rules 2, 3, 4, 9, and 11 and Schedule-I of the Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2017, as per the Chief Minister’s order dated August 13, 2024, and the subsequent notification issued by the department.

Other Decisions

The Cabinet approved an increase in the maximum limit of the index-1 for administrative/work orders approval under the “Chief Minister’s Village Road and Infrastructure Scheme (Scheme No. 6084)” from 3 to 4.30 for financial management of capital works. This decision will enable infrastructure and construction works worth over 2,135 crores in rural areas.
